Our comparisons use a consistent set of questions and explain the limits of the evidence available.
Research
For changing operator details, we check the regulator's register and the operator's published terms. We note the source and date of a material claim. Operator links are held in a controlled list and are not added through free-text editorial copy.
Comparison criteria
Licensing, relevant sports or games, payment terms, mobile usability, customer support, security and safer-gambling tools are considered separately. We include drawbacks as well as strengths.
Commercial independence
An affiliate arrangement cannot buy a favourable factual finding. Any paid relationship must be disclosed where it is relevant.
Outbound-link controls
Before publication, an operator domain must match an Active UKGC register domain and the linked business must hold an Active Remote licence for the relevant activity. If that evidence cannot be confirmed, the operator link must not be published.
Corrections and licence changes
A material correction should identify what changed, why it changed and when the page was updated. A suspended, revoked, surrendered, expired or unmatched operator entry must be removed from outbound links promptly after detection.
